I'm not sure what happened last night - but maybe if people are smart growth will slow down in Pickerington & the Builder's have gone & shot themselves in the foot.
Let's say you are going to spend $1200 on a mortgage payment.
Why wouldn't you buy in the township & get a bigger lot, more house for the same dollar & still send your kids to Pickerington Schools?
This Community Authority the way it's set up as Pickerington Only will be the BIA's Folly for years to come. Millage should have been the whole school district or none of it.
This is an idea in it's first stage of ''planning'' & needs some experts to help it quickly. My question is has it been planned at all or just thrown together so the BIA can still continue to build those 4000 homes without stopping. If anyone hasn't figured it out - Pickerington City Council & their cronies are the last people we should let control School Funding.

What Happened??
I was there last night too. I still don't know what happened. The moratorium failed, but they were able to pass an amendment to the failed moratorium?!?!? I somehow get the feeling that the residents lost again. And why would want to move into a Community Authority area when I can move into the township or another part of the city and still get the same benefits without expending more money?

Dear Confused,
I saw a group of builders standing beside Tom Hart smoking their cigarettes last night. I believe they were trying to relax after screwing the citizens of Pickerington last night with their own council people.
If the citizens of this city still believe this council represents them then you need to move to Cuba. Because you would fit in real well there. Please don't question what they are doing as long as they mention, ''they support the schools.'' Smile while Lou tells us all about the wonderful Tiger sports fans that they are. Get excited went they tell they can raise $35 million dollars with this community authority, Gee look at all of that money we will get!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have any of you ever figured out how much 3000 students cost to educate in just one year? That is $22,500,000 per year using today's dollars. Now if we would borrow the $22 million plus and pay it back over 25 years at 4% interest then the total pay back would be $35,628,900. So using the big number Lou keeps throwing around of $35 million is only one years worth of operating expenses if we could even use it for operating expenses.

Folks of Pickerington you got a real good screwing last night with help from Wes Monhollen and Harry Meyers in the parking lot still trying to sell this crap. God! I hate to say this but maybe Uher is right about Wes being an idiot. Wes I know you are buddies to Lou Postage but your argument doesn't hold water when you crunch the numbers as Lou put it last night. Clearly if you have no idea of what you are talking about before you talk to the ''MONEY'' men that will crunch the numbers then how can you make an informed decision by what the money guys are telling you Lou? Oh I forgot you have a group of consultants down at the BIA.
If this doesn't inspire the recall effort nothing does and we deserve what we get because we are all idiots that elected idiots. I hear there are part time jobs available in Columbus to help with paying your future taxes. Might save a little for your next down payment because you are not going to get it out of your Pickerington area house.
