Saw it coming a LONG way off

Mark, you assume far too much

I've read your rantings in the past regarding the sunshine laws and hardly see Gail attending a supposedly closed-door meeting as a major infraction, especially if Gail didn't know it wasn't open to the public.

A. The meeting was held in a public place, a school building. B. While the meeting was apparently not publicized there were nothing in place to prevent someone from the public attending the meetings if they chose to.

I was at the last school board meeting and I know not everyone was booing. Gail may not have taken a popular view with a room full of emotional parents and students but she did stand up for what she felt was the best use of the ''donation''.

From what others have said it appears the cost of signs was 'at cost' and there was no profit involved so where's your argument now?

Just who is it that you are supporting in this coming election because that is obviously someone I won't support if their tactics are as low-life and slimey as yours.

And since you are so keen on correcting others figures or grammar I'm curious - did Gail recently become a city or some other public entity? I didn't realize an individual could have 'citizens' as you stated in your note.
Mark, please explain.

Mark, in one posting you praise PATA and their efforts and then in this note you seem to imply that PATA is some evil organization and being compared to it (CommUNITY 1st) is a bad thing. So is PATA good or bad?

I don't see having our current elected gov't officials being criticial of CommUNITY 1st as being a bad thing.

You also tell Lisa to practice what she preaches about taking her personal attacks offline. When has Lisa ever personally attacked someone in a public forum such as this? I have never read a posting by Lisa that ever resembled a personal attack on anyone. Wouldn't a private conversation be considered 'offline' anyhow if such statements were ever made in the first place?

I have as much faith in this 'person' you refer to and their credibility as I do Tom Daschle's ''Billionare friend'' who thinks that a tax cut is a bad idea.

Pep Rally

Could someone please schedule a ''pep rally''...I've grown tired of Mr Uher's negativity and he surely wouldn't want to miss a good ''pep rally''...you know...youth, energy. All the things apparently missing from his life.

Let's skip sharing info on his, and anyone else's divorces or other issues that don't relate specifically to the issues at hand. They are no more relevant to the discussions here than are the causes of the issues that drive his interest in children's sports competition.

The fact is that, in our republic, even narrow minded, esteem challenged opinions are as valid as those of strong leaders working for the common good. Your willingness not to share this information is all that separates you from him. (that and a few billion brain cells)

His opinions and postings should be seen as nothing more or less than they are...the accurate representation of a minority of people who's personal situation makes saving short term extracurricular activities a higher priority than longer term planning issues. Anyone's priorities can be changed by their situation, and I wonder if my priorities would be different in the short term if I had a junior with football scholarship potential. Those are the people that were booing Mrs Oakes.

Mr Uher just adds a touch of resentment, and an ''attack dog'' mentality, born of some significant ''personal'' issues, to the otherwise valid positions he represents in his postings. I don't agree with them, but that's not the test for whether he gets to beleive and support...as for his personal attacks on others, I believe they only serve to damage his credibility.
