Cut him some slack.....

I read but have not posted till now.

Everything I have read, and he is a nice guy. Probably too nice. Would do anything for you if asked.

I know Tim and his wife Jill. I am convniced he is not tied to Lee Gray politically or personally.

Hell, I voted for Tim. It was just him and his wife that ran their campaign. No help or donations from anyone.

I know - I am just his neighbor but my opinion should count.

I have never seen Lee at Tim's house.

I do know that Tim's company does house in the facility on 256. I thought is was owned by Jerry Few up till not too long ago. It has changed hands, But Tim and his Tim's company (Culligan) were there long before Lee (if Lee truly owns the place). Heck I think his company Culligan is owned by the French, He manages the company locally. It used to be Buckeye Water if memory serves me correctly. I think Lee is his new Land Lord - again not sure no proof here. (someone fill me in)

Tim is new in the city, a simple given fact. Naive as it may sound, he probably thought he could work with anyone, regardless of (past, present or future skeletons if you will) - without reservation. Thats the main reason why I voted for him. (He should have researched Lee's past before asking him to carry a petition.)

I bet he learned a lesson on who to ask to carry petitions! Or do more research.

He may not know of this web site - Maybe and does not post..... I will tell him of its' existance. He can stand up for himself after this.

Until then, I challenge you to cut him some slack till you get to know the guy!

To Tim's Neighbor

I agree about Tim. I've heard some good things about him and his wife. I think he got into a bad situation somehow and has now been linked to past politicians with some very questionable histories.

Unfortunately for Tim he has been grouped with the 'bad guys' and that is going to be quite a daunting task for him to overcome.

Pros and Cons

My opinion on Swanson is that he probably was identified by Lee Gray (his landlord) as a bright business man who might feel an inclination to owe him something. Tim comes across as a nice, ethical kind man and maybe he is. Tim, being a businessman thought he was making a wise choice for his growing region. Lee saw in him a bright articulate young gentleman who wanted his business to flourish and honestly needed Lee's perceived influence in the city. Tim saw in Lee also a bright articulate business man. Tim did not see past the little boy look of Gray into his heart or soul. Tim did not see that he had only bad intentions for the city and even Tim. Gray is a great deal like Clinton and Darryl Berry. They had an uncanny nack of identifying someone's achilles heal and exploiting it. Tim wanted to succeed in this new city at all costs. Unfortunately in life and in business you have to make choices based upon the information you have at the time. If in fact Tim did not understand the heated dynamics in a town where his business was located, I would question his critical thinking skills and public relations acumen. If he did not even question the credibility of Lee and proceeded without a concern, I question his naivete and judgement. If, worse yet he aligned himself with Lee hopeing that Lee and the others would remain in power, then he is really stupid and corrupt and I don't want anything to do with him. He picked the wrong horse and buggy, plain and simple. We live by our choices actively or passively. I can remember when I was new to the City and a certain Brian Fox asked if I would suppport his Congressional race. I thought now here is a nice guy, with a family. He seemed articulate and charming. As a prudent business person, I checked around. I did not want my business associated with a person who I did not know and could not honestly say I could defend. My good name means too much to me. I am sure glad I did. I found out all I could about Brian Fox and did not support his efforts then or now. Please, even bo peep is not that naive!
