Wouldn't the natural assumption be whoever came in 4th? They took the time and effort to run so they want the position. Odviously, people voted for the person.

However

People voted for the 4th place person because they thought he was an actual control-growth person but in reality he isn't. He has been a rubber-stamp for the builders the past few years in P&Z.

The majority of the people in the city saw through the ruse and overwhelmingly voted in those they knew would control growth.

The responsibility now lies with the new administration to appoint someone who will allow the council to move forward with a true growth-management plan. Appointing someone who is the same as what we've had over the past several years accomplishes nothing.

Reason for 4th place

If they wanted Mr. Smith on Council they would have voted him there.

Ergo - the council must fill the open slot or the New Mayor will appoint someone.

HUM - Wasnt Maxey appointed after he lost.......?
Maybe they will ask him --------DUH NOT!

Hope that they pick someone new - with no preconcieved decisions.

Tim's Neighbor (Dave) passed away acoupple weeks ago tragically.

I do know Tim and him were always talking politics - sports and family, and seemed to get along well. I talked with them also. I think his neighbor is one big reason time ran for Mayor.

Tim helped Dave's family through the seriously tragic event, that took our neighborhood by surprise.

I saw him in the back yard many times after the tragic event, working for what seemed hours. I have seen him mowing for Dorothy. He helped the family while gone by watching the house. Just being a good neighbor.

Takes a strong dedicated person to do the things Tim did for his next door neighbor. I applaud him.
