Working Mom- I personally take offense to your quote above. I am a PROUD stay at home Mother and I think you are so ignorant to even say that this lady needs to find a job in order for her to "find herself". Maybe shes found herself by being a homemaker. I left a great paying job so I could stay home with my son when he was born. That was my decision as it is yours to work. Who qualified you as the resident therapist to make a comment of that sort?

As far the comment you made about her renting, technically you are more then likely "renting" your home as well unless you paid cash for it in full or unless you paid off your lets say, 30 year mortgage. So just because you are BUYING your home doesnt make you above anyone else as you seem to portray.

Stay@homemom, candy_o, nice job! We also chose to have a parent quit their job to raise our kids ourselves. I take offense that such a choice makes us less of a person. Since when is a person defined by their employer?????? Shall I even say that some people need to quit their job to "find themselves"?

Moderators, WHERE ARE YOU!!!! Referring to somebody as retarded is HIGHLY offensive to anybody with family/friends that are mentally challenged. Stating that somebody needs a job and let other strangers raise their kids is offensive!

You go on and on about cleaning up this stuff, but when it comes down to it.....

Again, we all have rude people in our neighborhoods. People that call the cops on families trying to spend time together in a way which is different than some. But there is a proper way to voice that without belittling and name calling and OFFENDING others. Candy_o has even been threatened with expulsion over this.

Expulsion=natural selection...conform or be banned, independent thought process is not allowed!  Free thinkers strictly prohibited!  And by the way, the word used to refer to the mentally challenged is EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE, and definitely shows inadequate vocabulary(just like racial or religious slurs) it's probably good someone else provides primary care for her children.  I guess she was correct about one thing though, some people are better parents when they are at work.  I wonder how she would feel if someone referred to her as the R word because of her inability to properly structure a sentenceguess that'll about do it for me!  Good Day!
