What does the letter mean from the Board of Adjustment-Commercial

Request a SPECIAL EXCETPION  in a R-1 zone Lot Line/ Cluster District to permist the construction of a chain link fence five feet high in the required front yard

Request a VARIANCE in a R-1 zero lot line/cluster district to permit the construcdtion of a chain link fence 12 feet high were only a 4 foot fence is allowed excessive by approximately eight feet in the required front yard.

Does this mean that if it passes we will have chain link fences in front of our houses by the school?

Request to permit the construction of a chain link fence where only screening fences of constructed wood, brick stone or reinforced concrete products are allowed

It looks to me like the school is trying to get a variance to install 12 feet tall chain-link fences.

I assume they will succeed.

I do not know where exactly they want to install them, why, or anything else.  I would find that information very informative.

They will be installing a 12 ft chain link fence at the South end of the soccer field at the school. The fence will go from the South school exit on Tyne to the first house to prevent soccer balls from being kicked into the street or houses across from Tyne.

A 12 foot high fence sounds very unattractive.  Is there any way to prevent this?  Why can't the put a gate in instead and let the teachers/aides/student simply retreive the balls?
