I was NOT there! Our COPS leader has balked at a couple of requests to explain the situation, but from the posts we have guy A driving down the street and he almost hits guy B, presumably on the street. Guy B does hit guy A, nobody has denied that. Guy A uses some language that somebody doesn't like. And sometime the cops were called. So, the last time I heard from a cop on language, the obscenity laws are hard to prosecute. A lot of cops use words that should not be used by friendly people. But physically assaulting somebody???? Oh, that is wrong just about every time, unless we're talking self defense which was never mentioned here either.
So, supergirl, I agree with your final statement : Our society is too soft, and too much in favor of the perpetrator's rights, and I'm sick of it. But back to you: why are you defending the actions of the perpetrator? Poor little HOA family, whatever!!
As far as questioning the behavior of our local ELECTED PUBLIC officers, they should be held for their actions in the public. They are the face of the HOA, which is the face of the neighborhood. Their actions are painting a bad picture River Trails. If our HOA members can't act neighborly, why would anyone else? They asked to be the LEADERS, didn't they?
