I was NOT there! Our COPS leader has balked at a couple of requests to explain the situation, but from the posts we have guy A driving down the street and he almost hits guy B, presumably on the street. Guy B does hit guy A, nobody has denied that. Guy A uses some language that somebody doesn't like. And sometime the cops were called. So, the last time I heard from a cop on language, the obscenity laws are hard to prosecute. A lot of cops use words that should not be used by friendly people. But physically assaulting somebody???? Oh, that is wrong just about every time, unless we're talking self defense which was never mentioned here either.

So, supergirl, I agree with your final statement : Our society is too soft, and too much in favor of the perpetrator's rights, and I'm sick of it. But back to you: why are you defending the actions of the perpetrator? Poor little HOA family, whatever!!

As far as questioning the behavior of our local ELECTED PUBLIC officers, they should be held for their actions in the public. They are the face of the HOA, which is the face of the neighborhood. Their actions are painting a bad picture River Trails. If our HOA members can't act neighborly, why would anyone else? They asked to be the LEADERS, didn't they?

Supergirl, that's funny, considering my wife chose the login name after our cats and my son chose the logo because he thinks his 6'3" 275 lb. Dad is superman.  Now, on to your "back to you" statement...  Haven't you ever noticed how MM does not entertain the snide remarks?  The same reason I'm not going to go down that road with you.  Don't get me wrong, you have the right to your opinion; we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Our neighborhood is at crossroads right now because of a few bad apples who let "and" most of the time defend the mischievous actions of the kids.  Not to mention the burglaries that occur here on a weekly basis.  I have been hit twice by these punks and I have done everything from alarm monitoring, to installing a security camera system, getting my concealed hand gun license, and securing the doors and windows from break-ins.  I've even been told by my insurance company that if I file another theft claim in the next 24 months that I will be dropped.  Damn it this is what's most important!!!!!!!!!  Do we set around and let outsiders drop the value of our homes?  Or do we come together?  HOA cannot prevent these thugs from coming around here without our help.  Does anyone not get this?

Wait...the pizza guy robbed you?  I thought this post was about parents making their kids accountable and holding parents accountable for being parents instead of blaming the rest of us when parents are lazy(letting your kids believe the street is for kids, not cars)...AND SUPERGIRL IS REALLY A GUY NAMED JASMINE?  I am so confused!

Sorry I misunderstood the name of Jasmine as female. I have been trying to behave here. I didn't mean to come across with any snideness (sp?).

All I am asking is a simple question: Can the head of our COPS program explain or defend the actions described in this post?? This has been asked but there has been no answers given by an elected official and head of the COPS program.

I'll stop at that, lest I upset anybody else.
