River Trails Homeowners Association

  Hey there!  I was thinking, there are alot of neighborhood garage sales nowadays.  It would be great for the RiverTrails area to have one.  Especially with the economy the way it is right now it seems like more people would come out, if we had a neighborhood together.  I was thinking April/May so it could give people more time to prepare?  What do you think? 

We are going to coordinate with Lakes of River Trails for a Neighborhood Garage Sale.  They have one every year.

I'll check with them on the timeline and post what I find out back on here.

The Lakes of River Trails Community Garage Sale is planned for Saturday, April 18th.  (This is also the Family Fun Day at the school.) The rain date is the following Saturday, the 25th. They are going to place ads in the newspaper, on craigslist, and will also have signs at their entrances.

If you have a garage sale, you are supposed to get a garage sale permit from the city. It is free to get the permit and you can get it online at the link below.

It is indeed.  They usually have it in October. I'm not so sure about having our community garage sale on the same day as the Family Fun Day.  We don't want to take away from the event that promotes our neighborhood school.

Also, we have a lot of residents that are volunteering to help out at Family Fun Day. I think we should give them the same opprotunity to join in on a Community Garage Sale.

We can plan our own for May.  And, give individuals more time to prepare.
