Mr 1990FORD, congrats to you for having a little one. You know, I am having a hard time finding this Chapter 8 you are talking about which prohibits parents from walking their child to class. Perhaps you can post a link for everyone? As far as getting together and talking like adults, I don't have a problem with that at all. As a matter of fact, I am sure there are a lot of parents who would like to sit and chat with you about this Chapter 8 and where it calls out that parents are prohibited from entering a public school prior to start of class. And because your missing my point, right now you don't have a child asking Daddy to walk him/her to class like you have done in the past and then be told at the end of the school season that you are no longer allowed to do it. I bet you change your mind on your stance when that day comes. Or - maybe not. But that's your right. Just as it is mine to not agree with it. No need to get so defensive, just give us the facts and we can shake on it later.
