But then we'd have to get a security guard to keep the people from LORT from using it. I wonder if the 10 foot alligator had any identity papers and was en route to their lake. |

Speaking of the alligator.....was it actually hit by a car? Did they really need to kill him. Poor gator if he was 10 ft long that means he was over 50 yrs old. They could have taken him to the zoo or wildlife center. The only blood I saw was from a bullet wound and the FW Star Telegram reporter said she wasn't actually there but just reported it had been hit by a car from what she was "told". |

The old fire station on Precinct Line in Hurst next to that school (recently moved to Pipeline Rd) was not ours, it serviced the city of Hurst. There was one on a side street off of Rt 10 (near Harmon & Hurst Blvd (rt 10)) that's approx 2 miles away from the neighborhood, operated by Fort Worth, but physically in Hurst. I'm sure that one has to cover RT, LORT, and the new neighborhoods along Trinity too. It makes sense for them to build a new building closer. The one on Precinct Line in Hurst (recently moved) was at 420 Precinct Line Rd, it was approx the same distance, but is now slightly further away and operated by the City of Hurst. I wish there was a website in Fort Worth that helped you find the closest Police station or Fire station given an address. A city in Nevada does that. |
