Friday, November 2 at 7:15 PM a black Corvette was racing down Candelaria at 55 mph. I believe it belongs to Ron Gutierrez on Candelaria. He races this vehicle, a yellow Corvette and now a red European sports car through our neighborhoods like it is an interstate highway. When I waved him down, he gunned the engine and raced to the stop sign. This must be addressed and he must stop before someone gets hurt.

Speeding

Have you reported this directly to the HOA? I agree about the speeding and it sounds like you got further than I have with IDing car and owner. By the time I see someone speeding (and I don't mean 5-10 over; rather 15 and more over), they're gone and too fast to try to get a license number.

It's very unfortunate that some feel laws do not apply to them; some pick and choose what laws they want to abide by (fireworks laws come to mind). Great example for young, impressionable kids.

I, too, have seen these cars speeding, as well as a silver Porsche from the same address. The guy about ran me over as I was out walking one afternoon. He kicked up a bunch of dust and flung a few small rocks at my leg. I guess money doesn't buy class, manners, or common sense!

to rely on to control speeding?

the entire property is considered private property...therefore the signs in place are more/less unenforceable.

so which laws/convenants are you relying on to be enforced? who will be the enforcer?
