read my previous posts..........

sapd has to be in the area/watch the infraction(can anyone say video) to make a citation.

how will the hoa enforce traffic rules? why haven't they been done already or publicized in the newsletter to help serve as a deterrent? the sapd will most definitely use the private property tag for sonoma ranch as an excuse not to enforce within the walls. was anyone present at the director's meeting/annexation briefer/saafe officer presentation at the club house late last year?

i was there and i remember ofc alonzo half heartedly answering questions about speeders and to me, the take home message was 'no' to meaningful enforcement beacause we are private property.

anons can cite whatever the foxtrot about transportation codes.

who will actually observe and then cite the law breakers? can anyone say video?

a suggestion about what to do...

grab your favorite viddy recorder and record what you see.

run it by mr. policman and/or the hoa and see what pans out.

methinks, not much.

so like i said before.....

What you say is true Richard but the same is true for any sign in the city on either private or public property. Law enforcement will typically go to where there is a greater public concern. I have seen SAPD parked next to the tennis courts monitoring traffic but they cannot be there permenantly for obvious reasons.
Unenforceable

Asking SAPD to sit and wait for someone to run a stop sign, or sit and monitor speeding is likely not practical. But when we use the term ''unenforceable'', that means, to me, that even if a patrolman happened to be in the area and witnessed someone blow through a stop sign or drive 45 mph in a 25 zone, he just ignores it because it's inside the walls of Sonoma Ranch.

What I'm understanding now is that it is enforceable, we should just not expect SAPD to target a specific stop sign because this is a low crime area.
