1. Mr. Kelly you do not live or own a B&B in North Shore, do you? I think residents should be aware of that fact. It indicates only that you may not have Old Northeast's best interests at heart, not that you should'nt speak your mind.
2. You state St. Pete is the ONLY
city to restrict B&B hired parties on the east coast. That seems hard to believe but maybe that is good.
St. Pete is a unique city.
3. Redundancy can be a good thing and offer additional protection. What's to stop B&B associations from changing state regulations after they get the local ones changed? (I think you had a typing error under your #2.)

Current Industry Standards

Nice try but what about our RESIDENTIAL neighborhoods? You sound like you are from the Chamber of Commerce.
What?

Re-read this posting by someone with a master's in Public Administration. Then decide what it says. Sounds like a bunch of ''cover my rear end for proceeding too fast without considering residential neighborhoods'' to me.
''Committed to addressing issues'' = defending something that has already been put into writing before neighborhood input.
Somebody didn't cover all the bases and doesn't want to get caught flatfooted by Council. Thank you CONA- now your posting makes sense.
Use of B& Bs for anything other than their traditional purpose can only be seriously considered in the downtown core area. Never in Old NE.
