CHANGING DEED RESTRICTIONS

IS THERE ANYBODY INTERESTED IN CHANGING OR MODIFING SOME OF THE DEED RESTRICTIONS, THAT WERE ORIGINALLY IMPLEMENTED BY THE HOME BUILDER (KB).

I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE RESTRICTIONS WERE INTENDED TO KEEP THE SUBDIVISION LOOKING GOOD, AND KEEP ARE PROPERTY VALUES UP, WHICH I AM ALL FOR THAT, BUT SOME OF THESE RULES ARE A LITTLE RIDICULOUS.

FOR EXAMPLE:
LIKE ON THE COLOR OUR FENCES REMAINING NATURAL LOOKING, I SEE NO REASON WHY HOMEOWNERS SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PAINT THERE FENCES EARTH TONE COLORS SUCH AS BROWN, TAN, REDWOOD,ETC. I UNDER COLORS THAT STICK OUT THAT BRING ATTENTION TO THEM SELFS LIKE PINK, RED,PURPLE, PASTEL COLORS, JUST FOR EXAMPLES.

I KNOW MANY OF US ARE BRAKING RESTRICTIONS WITH THIS MATTER, I BELIVE THESE ARE OUR HOMES, AND WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DECORATE OUR HOMES WITHIN REASON WITH OUT BE HASSLEDE ABOUT IT, ON SUCH MATTERS AS PAINTING OUR FENCES COMMON FENCE COLORS.

I AM VERY TIRED OF BEING TOLD WHAT I CAN AND WHAT I CANT DO. I HAVENT BROKE THE RULES BUT I CANT BELIEVE SOME OF THE LETTERS THAT I HAVE READ FROM MY NEIGHBORS. I LIVE IN AMERICA AND I PAY MY MORTGAGE THIS IS MY HOME AND THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE IN CREEKSIDE THAT AGREE WITH YOU.

I TOO AGREE TO SOME DEGREE THAT WHEN YOU MAKE A LARGE INVESTMENT LIKE PURCHASING A HOME, YOU SHOULD AT LEAST BE ABLE TO DO WHATEVER YOU LIKE.!!! BUT BECAUSE OF SOME IRRESPONSIBLE HOMEOWNERS IN THE PAST, THAT HAVE NOT UPKEPT THEIR PROPERTY, YARDS, PAINTING, JUNKED CARS, BOATS STORED ON GRASS, ETC...HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATIONS WERE CREATED, IN MOST PART TO KEEP PROPERTY VALUES UP, AND KEEP THE COMMUNITY LOOKING CLEAN AND PRESENTABLE. WHEN WE ALL PURCHASED HOMES IN CREEKSIDE, WE WERE ALL AWARE THAT THERE WAS A HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION IN EFFECT. ALONG WITH THAT THERE WERE BY-LAWS AND COVENANTS TO ABIDE BY. IF WE AGREED TO THOSE BY-LAWS THEN WE WENT AHEAD AND PURCHASED IN CREEKSIDE. IF WE WANTED PROPERTY WITH NO RESTRICTIONS THEN CREEKSIDE IS NOT THE PLACE TO PURCHASE A HOME. YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE, BUT I STILL FEEL CREEKSIDE IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO RESIDE, HEB, WALMART, HOME DEPOT, HWY 151, 1604, SEA WORLD, FAST FOOD, NEW SCHOOLS, KIDS GET BUSSED TO SCHOOL, AND YES A HOMEOWNERS' ASSOCIATION!!! IN THE LONG RUN IT'S WELL WORTH IT WHEN YOU SEE THE RETURN ON YOUR INVESTMENT, WHEN AND IF YOU DECIDE TO SELL. I CAN UNDERSTAND YOUR FRUSTRATION, BUT MAYBE IN TIME, YOU WILL HAVE A CHANGE OF HEART.GOD BLESS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!
