Does anyone have a reading about the appropriate storage of the new trash bins?

Can they be left in the driveway? can they be hidden? I'm sure alot of you may have the same thoughts I have, I don't want a weeks worth of garbage stored in the garage.  Recycles OK!   This was not an issue when the original association rules were  set in place, so how do we apply common sense to this.  I'm guilty of having an "overstocked" garage.  really there is no place for th new buckets. I'am however, not in favor of them being left in the street, and I believe we need to come to some quick decisions about what we ALL find acceptable storage.  I look forward to a rather brisk debate about this matter.  Please post your thoughts.

My neighbor put hers next to my house... Maybe you could do that too... (next to your neighbors house that is, not mine)

San Antonio city ordinances prohibit leaving garbage cans in the street.  Our Declaration of CC&Rs, Article VI, Section 6.10, states "Trash, garbage, or other waste shall be kept in sanitary containers and screened by adequate planitng or fence so as to concel these from public view..."

So ,if this were taken on face value , that means one could leave the carts in their driveway and screen them with some camo-netting and all would be well? Camo-netting, fence? This goes back to my original questions and comments. Who is going to decide what is acceptable?  Do you really want the management company to implement their interpretation of the covenants or should we as home owners and residents set the tone of the rules?  Please make your thoughts and comments known! Your elected BOA can't possibly settle every dispute, however this one will be with us for along ,long time.
