Please realize that the events of 2 meetings in the next 11 days could very likely result in YOU paying $250/year or more if you commute Mopac into town. Increase that for every person and every trip. This is like the magnitude of your dues DOUBLING! Other issues you may be interested in are not this time sensitive. Please attend the meeting at Kiker Tuesday and try to inform yourself as much as possible prior to the meeting. You can expect a polished sales pitch, and if you aren't armed with facts, you could find your money funding toll projects you will not use. Please read Sal's posts - he is doing a commendable job of looking out for our interests.

2 emails from neighbors
Neighbor #1 Sal, I will try to make the mopac toll meeting next week.? What a joke.? A toll road that takes less than a minute between booths?! BC ---------------- BC, Man, after waiting years for this Freeway, they want to tax us AGAIN for the damn thing, and they tell us last minute. If that Toll is put on that overpass, it will never go away, and the toll rates will just rise. BUT, THE GOOD NEWS is, if we can get about 300 people at the 2nd meeting (campo''s) on the 10th, I think it will go away, and we can get it as originally promised - as Free access. We just need to squeal a little. Sal --------------- Neighbor #2 Sal, thanks for asking the question if? a ''NO TOLL for William Cannon overpass'' from Circle C make a difference with TXdot & CTRMA's plan.? Why else should anybody bother to show up at the town hall meeting if their input and concerns would not make a difference in the toll road decision? AP ------------- AP, I've been told today, via phone, by one of the 23 Campo Board members, that if we stand up against this road (that we already paid for with our taxes), that board member will step up and make it a hell of a news week. We just need to get our neighbors to the meetings this Tuesday at Kiker and the next one at Campo on the 10th. We deserve to use that overpass for free, as promised, heck we already paid for it with money and time (the wait). Thanks, Sal |
