Crime Report; 3/14/2011

 

 Good Morning! Here is your police report for Monday 3/14/2011…

 

At about 5:00am on Saturday morning, Officer Plato was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 600 block of Ruidosa. Officer Plato learned that a married couple had gotten involved in a fight. The wife alleged that the husband had got on top of her, choked her and threatened to kill her. The husband fled the scene when officers arrived, but returned once he thought the officers were gone. He ran when he realized that officers were still on the scene, but was apprehended a couple of blocks away. He was arrested to prevent further family violence and charged with Felony Assault/Family Violence and Evading Arrest.  

 

At about 5:00pm Saturday afternoon, Allred observed three motorcycles racing southbound on the Winters Freeway, with speeds in excess of 100mph in heavy traffic. A few minutes later, the racers came back northbound in the same stretch of the freeway. Officer Allred was able to contact two of the three operators in the 4500 block of South First in a parking lot. These two men, ages 24 and 21 were arrested and charged with Misdemeanor Racing on a Highway.

 

At about 11:45pm Saturday night, Officer Allred was dispatched to a call of a disturbance at an apartment in the 2000 block of S. Clack St. Officer Allred contacted a 28 year old male who was hiding in a closet at the apartment, and it was learned that the man had been warned of criminal trespass at the location just a few days prior. The man was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass.

Crime Report; 3/15/2011

 

 Good Morning! Here is your police report for Tuesday 3/15/2011…

 

At about 1:00pm yesterday afternoon, Officer Montgomery stopped a car in the 3100 block of N. 10th St. for a minor traffic infraction. A passenger in the car was found to have multiple local warrants, with fines totaling over $2,400.00. This passenger, a 34 year old male was arrested on these warrants.

 

At about 8:25pm last night, Officer Hutchinson was dispatched to a Robbery call in the 1200 block of North Mockingbird Ln. A 51 year old female reported that she was confronted by a man in a parking lot who demanded her wallet. The victim refused to give the man her wallet, and the man shoved her to the ground, causing an injury to the victim. The man took cash from the victim and fled the scene. Officers located the man in a nearby alley and the man ran from Officers. After a foot pursuit the man was caught in the 1600 block of N. Mockingbird Ln. and taken into custody. The 21 year old man was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery and Evading Arrest.

 

At about 11:28pm last night, Officer Allen was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 1900 block of Pine, where a woman reported that her estranged husband was possibly waiting for her in a parking lot. Officer Allen contacted the man and found that he had a warrant charging him with Violation of a Protective Order. This 31 year old man was arrested on the warrant and taken to the Taylor County Jail.

Crime Report; 3/16/2011

 

 Good Morning! Here is your police report for Wednesday 3/16/2011…

 

At about 9:00am yesterday morning, Officer Duff Phipps stopped a car for speeding in the 1000 block of N. 13th St. He contacted the driver, a 37 year old male and a check revealed that the man had a warrant for Violation of Probation – original charge Theft. The man was arrested on the warrant, and also charged with Driving While License Invalid. 

 

At about 3:55pm, Officer Becker was dispatched to a burglary call in the 1200 block of Westmoreland St. The victim reported that she came home to find two people in her home. The people were described as being two teenage males, and they jumped out of a window and ran away when the victim discovered them. Investigation revealed that entry was gained into the residence via a window. Nothing was discovered to be missing. A report was taken for Burglary of a Habitation, and the investigation is continuing.

 

At about 7:40pm, Officer Volirakis was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 4000 block of Redbud Circle. A 43 year old male reported that he had been physically assaulted by his roommate. Investigation confirmed evidence that an assault had taken place. The roommate, a 30 year old male was arrested and charged with Assault/Family Violence.

Crime Report; 3/17/2011

 

 Good Morning! Here is your police report for Thursday 3/17/2011…

 

At about 1:20pm yesterday afternoon, Agents of the Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at a location in the 3100 block of Waverly. A quantity of narcotics was located at that location. A 34 year old female and a 31 year old male were arrested and charged with Felony Delivery of Methamphetamine, and the female was also charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Alprazolam.

 

At about 10:00pm last night, Officer Sumrall was dispatched to a disturbance call at a residence in the 2200 block of Titan. The victim, a 39 year old male, reported that during an argument he was punched in the face by his girlfriend, and during the altercation, another roommate joined in and also assaulted him as well. A 39 year old female and a 52 year old male were arrested and charged with Assault/Family Violence.

 

At about 10:02pm last night, Officer Paul Martinez stopped a car in the 100 block of Sayles Blvd. for having an expired registration. Upon contact, the driver claimed that he did not have his driver’s license with him. The man gave a false name to the officer, but eventually admitted that he was lying about his name because he thought he had warrants. The man’s true identity was learned and verified by an ID card found in the car. It was learned that his driver’s license is suspended.  The man was arrested and charged with Fail to ID and Driving While License Invalid.
