April 2011 Crime Reports!

CRIME REPORT; 04-01-11

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 12:05 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Blankenship stopped a vehicle in the 4200 block of North 1st for an expired registration.  The driver, a 24 year old male, was found to have a suspended driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While License Invalid.

 

At about 10:30 P.M. last night, Officer Davis responded to a call of subjects smoking marijuana in the 3000 block of Westlake Road.  Upon arrival Officer Davis located a vehicle parked in the parking lot with two occupants.  After contacting these two individuals the odor of marijuana could be smelt coming from the vehicle. Two 18 year old males were in the vehicle and admitted to being in possession of marijuana.  They were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

 

Finally at about 10:45 P.M. last night, Officer Walker observed a suspicious subject standing behind a convenience store in the 100 block of Burger.  When he turned around to contact the subject he was gone.  As Officer Walker checked the area around the building he located the 27 year old male.  When the male subject saw the officer he dropped a small plastic bag.  He was detained and the bag was recovered.  Inside the bag officers found a useable amount of cocaine.  He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Crime Report; 4_04_2011

 

 Good Morning! Here is your police report for Monday April 4, 2011…

 

At about 4:30pm Saturday afternoon, Officer Merrick was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 1500 block of Shelton. One of the people contacted at this call was found to have warrants for Driving While License Suspended. This 30 year old male was arrested regarding these warrants. The man was also found to have a pair of metal knuckles in his pocket, so he was also charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

 

At about 12:44am on Sunday, Officer Carye Adkins stopped a car in the 2100 block of S. 14th St. after it peeled out from a green light right in front of the officer. Upon contacting the driver, Officer Adkins detected the odor of alcoholic beverage about the man’s person, and the man was found to be intoxicated, and in addition, a switchblade knife was found in the car. This 28 year old male was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, and for having a Prohibited Weapon.

Finally, at about 7:47pm on Sunday, Officer Holmes was dispatched to an assault call in the 2400 block of Fannin. As he approached the location, he observed that a man was running from the scene. Officer Holmes contacted the man, who admitted that he had struck his girlfriend with a stick. This 22 year old male was arrested and charged with Assault/Family Violence.

Crime Report; 4_05_2011

 

 Good Morning! Here is your police report for Tuesday 4/05/2011…

 

At about 10:00am yesterday morning, Agents with the Special Operations Division contacted a female at a residence in the 2300 block of Kansas St. It was discovered that she had an outstanding warrant for Parole Violation on original charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Methamphetamine. This 26 year old female was arrested on the warrant.

 

At about 5:25pm last night, Officer Donny Brown and Martin Walker were dispatched to a disturbance at a business in the 2800 block of S. First St. A couple was contacted at the location and a female advised that her boyfriend had punched her and pulled her hair. Investigation also revealed that the man has a history of Family Violence charges. As a result, this 28 year old male was arrested and the charges will be enhanced to Felony Assault Family Violence/Continuous Family Violence.

 

Finally, at about 8:15pm last night, Officer Brandon Scott responded to a Criminal Trespass call at the library. There he contacted a man who had previously been warned not to return to this location in April 2010. He was also found to have a warrant for Assault/Family Violence. This 19 year old male was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass as well as the assault warrant.

CRIME REPORT; 04-07-11

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 5:52 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Allred responded to a call of a disturbance in the 1200 block of South San Jose.  Upon arrival he learned that a 24 year old male had assaulted his girlfriend by head butting her and also hitting her in the mouth.  He was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence.

 

At about 11:00 P.M. last night, Officer Walker responded to a call of an intoxicated person in the 2700 block of North 1st.  Upon arrival he located a 61 year old male who was extremely intoxicated.  The subject had been contacted earlier in the night at his apartment complex and was told to stay inside due to his intoxication.  He was obviously a danger to himself and was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

 

Finally at about 12:15 A.M. this morning, Officer New stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 2500 block of North Danville.  Upon contacting the driver, a 57 year old male, he was found to be intoxicated.  The driver refused to perform the field sobriety test and showed multiple arrests for Driving While Intoxicated.  He was arrested and charged with a Felony D.W.I. due to his prior convictions.
