Town of Braintree

This is to all the people of our glorious town that think the teachers are: running the town, overpaid, have fantastic health benefits, get generous time off, have total job security etc.
Please do not talk of that you know NOTHING of. I challenge each and every single one of you to at the very least interview a teacher and ask them their pay, ask them what their benefit package is , ask them how many hours they put in a day, ask them if they haver received pink slips lately! I am ashamed of those of you who speak about these things as if you know! I am not a teacher but I do know that they are completely undervalued! in all areas. They are your childs primary care giver for how many hours a day? The teacher of this town have one thing on their minds and that is ''The well being of our children''. I could go on for days and days and give all of you a tongue lashing about what these teachers are really all about but I really want you to take the challenge or at least if you aren't interested in that go to a school at 7:00 am on any given school day and follow a teacher for a day then before they leave the school day have them fill you in on what they need to do that night at home while you and I are with our families!

They, the Teachers

are home with their families and have all night to do their work at their leisure. They, the teachers can also rise at an early hour and do what they need to do. They, the teachers do not teach a class every hour they are in school. So they have time to do what they need to do. They, the teachers get the summer off and 3 weeks off every year. They also get every snow day off and several religious holidays also. I have no gripe with the teachers just their Union whichis a money grabbing organized crime ring hell bent on getting more for their members while ''fat cat'' union leaders reap the rewards and the dues go up. voting out ALL INCUMBENT school commitee members is the place to start to crush this scholastic crime spree.

They the teachers have an extra day added onto the end of the year just like the kids do. They the teachers ''have all night to do work at their leisure'' is that what you do when you get home from working all day? or do you spend any time with your family? They the teachers can rise early and work? Do you realize that ''they the Teachers'' are mostly women with families that they do have to care for and get up and ready for their school day or have children to take to daycare? Do you have any idea before this when the last time was ''they the Teachers got a raise? Do you realize they passed up the last raise before this for ''they the kids benefit? Do you know that some of these teachers are teaching in closets? Where do you sit down when you go to work in a closet? Do you have any idea when in the summer the teachers are required to return to work and one of the reasons they get paid crap is because they have that time off and they get extra work to supplement their income because they cannot survive on a teachers salary. Do you have any idea what a teachers salary is? You seem to know a lot about what the Union people get paid or do you? Is your gripe with the teachers or the union? sounds like you do have a gripe with the teachers and like I said spend a day in the life of a teacher they are not complaining about teaching your child they just want fair salary and working conditions just like the rest of us!
