I'm sorry are the teachers excluded from taxes? I'm sorry did the teachers call the snow day? I'm sorry that you have to clean your car off that must be hard work are you okay? Get off the high horse you are on and open your eyes to the facts and not the cleaning off your car problem.

Older teachers are making 50,000+ I think they can survive on that. The teachers have their hands out every year. Some of us are working 2 jobs to pay the higher taxes. Some of us don't get a raise every year. some of us are called away from our families to work late and some of us are called to serve our country as I was at a much reduced rate of pay. forcing my children to daycare and my bride to work all day to pay that bill.I guess recession and war doesn't have an effect on teachers. Just those of us who pay taxes and serve. And if you read my post again you will see it is the union that is behind the pay raises. I recall the teachers wanted to negotiate but the teachers union said no just pay us.
