The Carmel Mountain Ranch Community Council (CMRCC) was first organized on November 14, 1995. It operates as the first City of San Diego combined planning board and community council. The CMRCC reviews land use and zoning issues and community concerns regarding neighborhood traffic and transportation issues.
There are currently nine homeowners and three business/professional representatives on the Council. Members serve for two years. Elections are held in March.
