Shooting

Shooting is now a sport. Even an Olympic sport. Just like bow and arrow shooting is a sport; and that was around long before guns. And it was originally designed to kill.

Nobody cries out when a motorcyclist dies racing, NASCAR race takes somebody out; or even when people die on the football field.

If the instument takes out someone other than the person using it; do we uniformly cry out for more control over that instrument?

What of the air show crash into innocent crowds?....Drag races where the rail car goes over the side railing into crowds?....Car races that tumble into crowds?....

The intent of the operator is certainly a factor...but how do we regulate intent.

Knifes were originaly designed as weapons too...but no one cries for their regulation after a knife murder!

How come?
Gun Free Zone

As I have stated before, to prevent this there should have been posted '' Gun Free Zone'' Just as simple as that !
Just a thought

but I'd like to suggest we start a bigbrother free zone.

C'mon Weeman lose the cliches and get to the point. Our country is overrun by deranged people with access to firearms. Everyone knows a firearm is an inanimate object requiring human usage to serve the purpose it was made for. Even someone as thick as you should be able to understand that.

Please don't humiliate yourself by blaming this on the liberals. Blame your local politicians, blame the parents, and blame the schools where the greater majority of these incidents take place. Blame the courts, the attorneys, the probation officers, the guidance counselors. Blame everyone but yourself.

What have you done to ensure America's safety from these types of incidents occurring? Besides locking up your own firearms and keeping them out of your own reach? Have you queried the NRA for their answers on these issues?

I read the NRA conceded, without much of a fight, in allowing Congress to mandate a background check on our returning war veterans to ensure they were stable enough to own and carry weapons. Your a proponent of the NRA aren't you Weeman? How does an organization that solicits money, which by the way you cannot claim as a tax deduction, to ensure your rights to keep and bear arms are preserved turn around and cut a deal behind close doors with both sides of the legislature to restrict not only our returning soldiers the right to own a firearm, but anyone who has any hint of stress, depression or a mental disorder in their past?

Granted, we don't want mental patients having access to firearms but why was the NRA so quick to appease the gun grabbers? Could it be the NRA is nothing more than a sham organization that only serves the interest of Americans when it only benefits those in the NRA heirarchy? Or could it be, the NRA is anticipating the election of a Democratic president along with a democratically controlled legislature and are now beginning to hedge their bets and making concessions?

Yes Weeman, school shootings are evil, disgusting and criminal. You can talk yourself blue in the face with your posted cliches all day. Its not the fault of liberals. Culpability lays at the door of these organizations the American people are lulled into joining and then asked to pump money into their coffers (NRA-ILA) under the false pretense their rights are being protected.

If the NRA really wanted to protect the 2nd Amendment rights of this Nation they'd get off their empty suit asses and use their coffered funds to educate our American children about firearm safety and the real danger a firearm can pose. The NRA, if they so chose, could lobby Congress to pass effective legislation to introduce firearms safety into our Nations schools. Instead, their afraid of fighting the Teacher's Unions and missing out on their free lunches with lobbyists and legislators.

That, Weeman, is how come.
