Washington D.C. Murder rate in 1976 before a ban on all handguns was passed, was 26.78 murders per 100K people. in 2005 the rate was 33.6 per 100K people. 29 years and a 32% increase.

Or maybe we can quote a study done on russia during the cold war, even though they had a total ban on all privatly owned firearms, and effectivly enforced mind you, they had a murder rate among the highest in the world.

Oh and by the way the murder rate of the rest of the US, in cities of more than 100K people was only 5.6/100k.
James Madison the author of our constitution stated that the 2nd amendment was, is, and always should be an individual right, not a right reserved to the states. How much clearer to original intent can you get, than the words of the man who wrote it?
