Funny, when I was very little, the BART was just a thought.  It was cool to go back and actually be able to ride on it.  I'm always amazed at how quickly things change there, and how it continues to grow.   I don't think traffic congestion will ever truly be relieved.  (lessened, maybe?)  I remember watching the Nimitz Freeway (I-880?)collapse on TV.  We drove that all the time.   I haven't been there in a while, but my brother still lives out there.   Last time I was in Fremont, I drove by the house I grew up in.  It's much smaller than I remember! It's always nice to visit, but like New York City, I had a blast, but have no desire to move.  But now, when I visit, I will think of BB when I drive across the San Mateo bridge Smile

Snow and ice?  Funny, though I wasn't born here, I have been in Iowa since 1984. I am a midwesterner now.  We have family in Tampa, and go there to visit as often as we can, and we always think how nice it would be to live there.  It'll never happen.  For some strange reason, we enjoy the seasons.  Even though we curse the extreme heat and cold, we really do love living here, and no matter where we travel, it will always be home.

Drank many a cold one sitting at the bar in the Fremont Red Lobster! Neat town district along that strip. One of my best engineer friends lives there too.

Please stay home for awhile and fix the potholes around here.

Funny....my wife was just commenting about them potholes just the other day. Or should I say....cussing?
