"The words "do in excess" implies a number or quantity."
Really? Please reconsider before you post. You really are exposing your ignorance. "Excess" is not restricted to, nor primarily connected with, numerical attributes. It is equally useful in describing scope and effect, etc. But it refers to "circumventing Congress". How is that measured without using numbers? You either circumvent or you do not. |

Yep. Keeps a lame duck suppressed that way. Except for getting happy with executive orders and circumventing Congress like he has already shown he will do in excess. What do you mean "happy with executive orders"? Obama has made fewer than any other president and fewer per year than any other president.
125. 33.8 per year. 0.92 % of those made by all presidents. I don't sit here 24 hours per day. I have other interests and duties.

How many times Congress is/was circumvented is not what the author (me) was posting about. It is the excessiveness of individual orders; or how far they reach. Some are tame, some are lame, some are for Nat'l security and emergencies, while others are excessively discriminatory, as I have proven with my "Violator" post.
On another point, why are some executive orders that are published on the WH website, given numbers, yet, others are not? And to that end, why are numbers out of sequence? Where are the numbered exec orders that are not published? And, if some exec orders have no numbers for tracking, how many more have been written without numbers and are not published on the exec order page of the website? Who's checking the checker? |
