How many times Congress is/was circumvented is not what the author (me) was posting about. It is the excessiveness of individual orders; or how far they reach. Some are tame, some are lame, some are for Nat'l security and emergencies, while others are excessively discriminatory, as I have proven with my "Violator" post.

Well now if that was what you intended to say you should have said it instead of complaining about the excessive number of times Obama "circumvented Congress" by executive orders.

On another point, why are some executive orders that are published on the WH website, given numbers, yet, others are not?

I don't know that that is true and I'm not going to try to answer a question that doesn't have an answer.  They're all available since 1936 (or 34).

And to that end, why are numbers out of sequence?

Where do you find them out of sequence?   Where they are listed by subject perhaps.

Where are the numbered exec orders that are not published?

I believe they are all published unless there is a national security issue.

And, if some exec orders have no numbers for tracking, how many more have been written without numbers and are not published on the exec order page of the website?

Where do you find some not numbered?   How do you know it is an executive order?
