We need somebody who has some training in city administration.   The qualifications for mayor are age and breathing.   We've had some pretty sorry ones.   There are a lot of regulations that must be followed and opportunities that can be had.


Was there a point to your blabbering wisdom, mallcontent? Which democrat for mayor had any of the qaulifications you allude to, dingbat? Roger Roth or Kim Otto have any such qualifications?


You must take pride in being silly, foolish and stupid.   Not only  all our mayors but also losing candidates of avery political party and every person alive on earth has an age and breaths.

BB, they are on something again.  They won't approach making any sense until they sober up or come off it some time tomorrow.  It would be laughable if not so sad.

Oh dear me Mal....as old Uncle Charles used to admonish, sometimes better to keep you mouth shut and not appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Is there any fat in the City of Muscatine"s staff that could be cut to make spending less? It seems City Hall is becoming rather heavy in employees, are all of them needed?  Do we need a city planner?  Do we need a City Administrator when we have a Mayor?   Do we need City inspectors when the State does it for us?

Budget time for the City.

We need a professional city administrator who has some education and training in city government.


The qualifications to be mayor are insufficient.  Being of sufficient age and still breathing are about it.   We have had some mayors who would be grossly inadequate if they actually had to run the city.
