You mean to say that the office of city administrator and mayor demand more training and qualification than that of office of President of the United States?  I guess I don't understand your logic.

The answer is of course, NO.   Both the President and Mayor are elected officials.   The President has myriads of trained officials to run the government.   The Mayor should have some too.

You aren't laboring under the delusion that the Mayor "runs the government" without any help are you???      If not, just what are you saying?   If the obumbler can be president without any qualifications, it makes it kind of difficult to require more of mayors, doesn't it?
