Good for you! I sense real progress. You were close, but in reality a small percentage of "us" pays for most of it.
Who do you include in this "small percentage"? Who do you exclude? Everybody who buys motor fuel for their car or truck pays. I think that alone is greater than a "small percentage". Every car or truck owner pays. If you buy goods delivered in a truck you contribute. That's a huge percentage. If you ride a bus you contribute.
So your next assignment is to figure out how much you're willing to give to the government. Are you willing to give them 100% of what you make and let them make all of your decisions? Maybe 50% and let them make half of your decisions? How much is enough?

What difference does it make to you? I'm satisfied with what I pay now. They could increase it a bit for a good cause and I'd still be satisfied. I think for what I pay in taxes, having a safe car and the ability to drive on a million miles of decent, safe roads to reach any place in the country is a bargain. Beats having to hitch the team to the wagon by a long ways. Happy with what you pay now and willing for pay more.

I have no problem removing undeserving people of government payment programs, but reducing my taxes has no effect on them at all. That includes farm subsidies.

I believe my post clearly stated that the IOWA D.O.T. gave no credit whatsoever to traffic camera radar and stop light cameras for the lowering of the number of traffic fatalities in the state. That means the liberal's plan did not work.
In fact, in Muscatine, a capitalist private company owns the cameras. Mallcontent read my post with quotes from a state official at the DOT. The layoffs and hiring freeze caused the engineers to work smarter with less fluff. I said nothing about their collective intelligence; but mallcontent is not intelligent enough to grasp what I furnished as proof of the simple facts. Mallcontent/davieboy has no clue anymore what is happening with their collective heads in the liberal feeding trough/shitbucket. |
