I always give credit where credit is due. My hat is off to Mayor Shaver for WALKING in yesterdays parade. He set a great example of leadership.
Too bad the township trustees can't seem to get off their butts and do the same. Is this a common practice for them to ride in the parades rather than walking and shaking the hands of the citizens that elected them?

Yes
I also agree that it was nice to see the Mayor walking, and was also nice that he shook all participants in the parades hand at the end and thanked them for participating.
That is very much typical of our trustees to just ride in the parade especially when it is not an election year. Heck I have seen them all ride even during an election year.

Also Nice
It was also nice to see Ted Hackworth out walking as well. He was out walking for Tim Schaffer. Shows a lot of his character when he is willing to get out and help other candidates like that.

Great point
I also spotted Ted walking yesterday. He does go out of his way to help candidates.
He helped me during my campaign last year and he proved to be a great source of information on how to run for office. Ted has demonstrated again and again that he is truely a public servant and I feel that he does a tremendous job for the city.
While I did not come out on top in my race, I learned a lot and will always look fondly on the experience. Thanks Ted!
