Running?
This other faction against Ted and Brian? Is this the Brian Sauer, Steve Elsea and Gavin Blair running against the other side? In terms of who should run I am not sure, but I am not opposed to those three running. I think any competition is good, as long as issues come forward. I am not sure if it is those three, but just maybe gathered that from past postings. I wonder if someone else will be included in that or Mayor Shaver will endorse that team and run as mayor as the head of that side?

My Understanding
I have heard those rumors of Sauer, Blair and Elsea and Shaver as well.
It would indeed make for an interesting election in 2007. Not sure what to make of it all though.

Getting ahead of the election
Isn't Elsea, Sauer, and Blair all on the Fairfield County Republican Executive Committee? I guess the question then would be who would we be giving control of the City over to if all of those in this group won?
Obviously Elsea and Shaver have already said they want to run for a higher office. Not sure about the other two but they seem to be go getters also.
Then what about Heidi? Is she dropping out? Is Brian and Ted going to run next year? I think we are getting ahead of ourselves.
Someone said something about all but Fix were recruited. What difference does it make if someone is asked to run and they run versus someone else who's whole life is centered around running for office. I think the real test is are they dedicated to the job they were elected to.

Fix
In terms of Jeff Fix recruiting that is what I also hear, but what does it matter if someone is recruited or decides to run as the person above says. These three guys from past dealing with them all have their own minds, and I don't think will just be puppets for Fix. Steve did run for higher office, and this might just be to set him up, but I don't see it as necessary for him since he has the name recognition for 2008 if that is what he wants. Sauer and Blair might want the name recognition though if they are looking to go higher. I guess everyone has to start somewhere though.
In terms of Heidi I have heard she is obviously hoping Ken Blackwell gets the big job, and then she will leave the city and take a bigger role with Blackwell.
In terms of Brian and Ted, I believe both are running again. It should be very interesting to say the least.
