Trustees Alright!
I think the Trustees are to be commended. They've done an excellent job in terms of keeping the quality of development in the township at a very high level. You don't see many locations in the township such as the city where homes are crammed on top of each other. The Township has fought many of the battles to make this so, the township trustees also find ways to encourage builders to donate money to the school system. This, even though nothing forces them to legally. As a township resident, it concerns me when I see such acidic comments thrown forth by city residents, who only recently elected a council that understood the pressures it was putting on the school system by building so irresponsibly. I sincerely hope that the citizens of this community look beyond the act of riding or walking in a parade, and take a harder look at the actions of the individuals in their elected positions.

Come on now you say the trustees should be commended for enforcing the zoning laws. Then you go on to talk about the ?“Very High Level?” of development in the Township. The trustees have been screwing the City residents for a long time now. Then included in your high quality of residential developments you must include Spring Creek and the Villages of Sycamore Creek both of which were platted and zoned in the Township. Both of these developments were starter homes and the elitist like yourself can now say they were developed in the City which is the big lie being told over and over by the commendable trustees. I think if the shoe was on the other foot and you were paying the Pickerington City Council members your hard earned cash (Tax money) you would be making ?“acidic?” comments about them as well. I believe the light is beginning to shine on the parasites the township are. The trustees gladly accept the Pickerington City Taxpayers money and then use that money to sue them because they annexed.
Clearly the symbolism of riding in a parade in the back of a pickup truck is almost ?“throne like?“ behavior and giving those same city residents the feeling that these guys are untouchable and appointed to a life time term until they feel the need to give it up.
You infer that the peasants of Pickerington that view the parade should bow down in their royal highness?’ present.
I think they are about to be either shown for what the are or completely dethroned.
As for the acidic comments of Pickerington City residents. Exactly who were you referring too in that comment? I don?’t recall seeing anyone?’s name attached to the comments. It is also interesting that you can find fault with City Residents making acidic comments but can some how can over look these same wonderful Trustees when they are making similar comments about the CURRENT Pickerington City government. Then it is the ?“Citizens of this community?” and giving us all advice.
Clearly the Trustees have never represented the interests of the City residents. The City taxpayers only use is of being a scapegoat to make the trustees look good in the eyes of the narrow minded in the unincorporated areas of the township. Harry. Terry and Gary are all exercising the well tested machine of slamming the City Council for their own failures and I think they have played that ace once too many times now.

Check the facts.
Spring Creek, a planned district, was approved at 1.98 houses per acre, using the total acreage in the rezoning, there was 30 A. of green space given to the Twp. for a sports facility.
Sycamore Creek was zoned in the Twp. with an acreage given to the school district for a school, more than the City has ever accomplished for the school. If the City of Pickerington had not been so anxious to annex you could really point your finger. I also commend Mayor Shaver for walking in the parade but what happened to all the Council folks. Did see Ted Hackworth walking but might have missed some of the others. Of course, the City paid $15,000 for the float for previous Councils to ride which was used by the Queens this year.

More facts
Spring Creek also had no proper planning for access to Refugee or Milnor or Pick. Road. The city had to fix those screw-ups. One roadway through the development will connect Milnor to Pick. Road so when it becomes a through way for the school kids and anyone wanting to get to North or Kroger without getting on the two-lane Refugee, Good Luck. Ask the folks in what is it? Bentwood Farms or Mallard Pond what it?’s like to have a through way. The city will be stuck fixing those screw ups.
Sycamore was gracious with their land donation to the schools. It just is a minor side note that they couldn?’t build houses on that 8 acres. They were willing to make the gesture of letting someone else foot the bill to make the land usable.
Why the big deal over Shaver walking? No one would let him ride with them. Riggs walked with Blackwell?’s group (that?’s where her bread is buttered). Sabatino and Smith were sitting on their butts watching. Fix, as usual was a no-show (must have had an important Republican thing elsewhere). Wisniewski was out of town I heard. Hammond? Who knows?
Turning the float over to the queens was promoted by a former councilman who thought that if council couldn?’t walk, then stay home.
