4 touchdowns in one game!
The lady from Lancaster is correct in her memory. That game was in 1982. My son was on that team and Mike Locke was the Canal coach. Jack Johnson coached Pickerington. Canal only had 750 students in the entire school system in 1982. The senior class only had 76 students. How many students were sttending PLSD in 1983?

Mark Please!
Mark Uher,
Will you please quit with your childish comments? Your petty remarks are not helpful and are quite insulting to the members of this community and, most importantly, insulting to the people who really want to pass these proposed levies. I don?’t think you are one bit helpful in anyway towards that end.
Please do as you said you would do and keep your rhetoric out of these sometimes enlightening discussions. Because when I read your additions to these discussions, they are neither intelligent nor enlightening. I mean really, ?“what band played in what parade??” and ?“who came in what place in what conference??”
I think it?’s a shame that you would even write such a thing. You have in the past and are presently showing your lack of understanding regarding these extremely tough issues facing our community. If you can?’t understand the problem, you?’ll never formulate a solution.

Thanks, John Brinson
John,
I am glad to see you support the proposed school levies. Even with different approaches, we all must work together to help our schools. Would you like to be part of the levy campaign?
If you have specific comments to help me share information to get the levies approved, please use my e-mail address. I am all ears ... when it comes to continuous improvement. What should I focus on and how should I say it to help get the levies approved? Who should be involved?
And, please, John, be fair and objective in your comments here.
Do you find enlightening Dr. Pepper's posting of 8.1.02 that we should follow Lancaster's approach and defeat all school levies since 1960? Do you find enlightening that Canal beat Pickerington in football two decades and months after voters rejected the second time a 6.5 mill operating levy (11/1981 and 8/1982).
How would you house the hundreds of young ones in trailers? How would you solve the massive financial problem facing our district?
If the problem you referenced in your posting is members of the Pickerington City Council, then the solution is very easy. The residents of Pickerington have always had the power ... yesterday, today and tomorrow ... to change Councilpersons. They had a chance last year, will have another chance next year, and have an opportunity today through recall mechanism. What is the problem and solution that I don't understand?
Again, despite your rather negative remarks about me, I am glad you support the proposed levy/bond issue this fall. Let's see if we can work together to help build a better community. Thanks, John.
