I want to give an atta girl to Gail Oakes for wanting a written statement from the BIA on the three $75,000 payments they say they are going to give to the after school activities. She wanted either a line of credit or a check. She sees the problems with the PR crap that the BIA has put out before. This time is no different.

An all shucks to Wes MonHollen for saying their (BIA) word was good for him. This is not the first time thes ebuilders have promised things only to back out later. They want to sell homes and make the most money they can. If we really do pass a moritorium with no houses being built then we won't see those last two payments. If the Levy fails you won't see the last two payments. The city has broken its own zoning laws to to allow Featherwood to build 250 condos behind the police station. They claim this will be a moeny maker for the city. However they never furnish written proof. To Mr. MonHollen I don't trust them any further than I can throw them. I have trouble with the trash can.

The Native Americans would rue the behavior of the BIA, thank you. It was the Europeans who bought and sold land, lied, made treaties and then broke them. I've never understood where the term ''Indian Giver'' came from. How about we name the new subdivisions ''Wright Way''-- ''Postage Park''-- ''Bushman Bay''-- and our newest addition.... ''Sabatino Station'' More appropriate, don't you think???

250 condo units/2plus bedrooms

The 250 condos are being built on ''unstable ground'' according to information given to Mr. Helwig resulting in his selling his property to Mr. Berry for $5,000 instead of $30,000. The condos are two bedroom with a loft which could be used as another bedroom. They will sell in the vicinity of $120,000 each, quite a good price for a house for folks with children. The development never went through the normal process of approval with Planning & Zoning and Council approval, the City Building Department handled the process. The final plat was said to have been approved before the 2 units/acre vote. The plat was amended just last Thursday at Bd. of Zoning Appeals mtg. The City will be receiving quite a lot of money via capacity fees, income tax, etc. Where does it place the school financially with possibly an average of one child per unit, 250 children.
Snakes on the property

I believe you forgot the fact the Helwig's were represented by Judge McAuliffe who is now in jail. Is this the oportunity for the the Judge to finaly give something back to the community?

Wouldn't a good attorney have asked for more money for the property. Consider the large commission it appears that the Judge received.
