Raymond & Vail

The winners at the luncheon by PAC were Raymond and Vail. Smith & Brink made fools of themselves. Reade can read but cannot speak or think. Sigman is sigman and Northness withdrew.

Not looking for a fight.

I thought everyone did a fair job and it is probably our own preconceived ideas as to who 'won'.

I think Vail and Raymond present themselves very well as do Brink and Reade. I just cannot support Raymond and Vail because of the tons of support they are getting from the athletic boosters. It just scares the crap out of me that we are going to end up with another Sigman and Sanders.

However, I'm much more concerned about the city council and mayor offices. If Shaver/Riggs/Hackworth/Wisniewski don't win then it really won't matter who's on the school board because our schools are going to implode with the growth that will continue.

Boosters rubbish

What is the rubbish about the boosters supporting Marcella Raymond and Christopher Vail? I have seen none of it.

From my vantage point, boosters are lining up for Larry Sigman and Mike Smith. Mike Smith even brags about being an athletic boosters president in his literature.

In my view, Marcella Raymond has the broadest amount of support from different elements in Pickerington.
Raymond

Raymond has one major negative: She is supported by Mark Uher. Indeed, I have found her to be quite a champion of his, which must be unusual by now in this community.

This has not proven to be a major drawback for Wes Monhollen. Contrary to what some may think, I consider him an outstanding school board president.

It took Wes to get rid of Forrest Yocum. Wes prevented the construction of a $1 million storage shed next to the new junior high school, which would have been a major boondoggle. Wes has insisted on reforms in the school district's transportation policies, which will save hundreds of thousands of dollars this year alone. Wes insists that all new schools in the district be constructed as economically as possible. Wes has insisted that the School Board look at grade reconfiguration as an alternative to building new schools now. And it did not take Wes long to break with Mark.

Raymond, however, has no excuse. She has seen Mark in action, right here on this website in sickening form, and still has taken his assistance and support. In this one respect she has, in my estimation, shown such poor judgment as to override whatever talents she may have.

I'm voting for Reade and Brink as, I suspect, are most people in Pickerington. They will work with Mayor Shaver, with Councilpersons Riggs, Hackworth and Wisniewski, and with the Township Board of Trustees, to stop run-away residential growth, limit the density of new residential construction, and build a strong commercial tax base that will support good schools without exhorbitant tax rates.

Accept no substitutes. Vote for Shaver, Riggs, Hackworth, Wisniewski, Weltlich, Reade and Brink.
