The only reason I am not supporting fines is because I am afraid how it will be written. The one that said 10% of the yard - is this the front yard, side yard, back yard, whole yard. What if the front looks worse than the back. What if the back looks worse than the front? What if combined it is not 10% but only the front or back indivually is more than 10%. Who is going to measure this? Is this the whole weed or just the flower part. You cannot say the top 10% of houses, that will not fly legally. Who is going to police this? I remember the trustees saying they do not police for violations, yet everybody sits out here and complains. Call Rickert if there is an issue and let them do what they legally can.

I am not in support of fines. You cannot start to find one item and not enforce all of our other problems. If you rewrite the deed restrictions, are you going to leave in trees have to be 5' in height and over 1'' in caliber, or will that stay in? How about the net on Waynebrown. That has been the longest biggest violation and we have done nothing about it. You cannot start to pick and choose. If you do, there will most likely be a legal issue that will cost the HOA more than we can afford.

What are you talking about 10% of the yard. I believe the poster said 10% of the yard's.

Besides I might be looking at my neighbors back yard and someone else the front. What difference does it make if it is a part of?

This is not just about yards. How about a deck that has not been stained for 6 years? A big playset that is falling apart. A pool with a filter in someones driveway?

My opinion is, if we don't do something, we can't do anything. That being said, Who knows what somebody could do next to or in back of your house.
