Regency Woods Blockwatch

I sent emails to everybody in Metro; new mayor, the chief of police, Metro Council, Public Works and on down decrying the danger posed by the speeders coming off Shelbyville Road onto North Chadwick and the ones going the opposite way just yesterday.  I did get people in Metro to listen.  They started calling me this afternoon.  Stay tuned .............

Jon Ackerson, our 18th Metro District Council member, responded to my email about the need for an additional speed hump this morning. The conversation was very encouraging;  he seems willing to work with our Commission to remedy the problem.  Based on the long conversation he and I  had, the ball is now in the hands of our own Bellemeade City Commission.

There appears to be many more young children at this end of North Chadwick than at the Whipps Mill end.  Based on apparent need, this end is more in need of  an additional hump.  Somebody correct me if I am wrong.  I am just a concerned citizen looking at a problem and asking for help.  At this point I am very sorry I did not run for the City Commission.

There may be another and better solution to this problem. I am working on it.
