Candy-O  - I am sorry their are rude people who have nothing better to do than slam someone on their english.  It was very tacky and uncalled for.

Regarding your fence issue,  do you know who put up the fence?  Is it on your property?  Is it on a vacant lot?

The fence is partially on my property and partially on the easment and since you can't build anything on an easment I think i'll do the city a favor and remove it!  The city said the HOA had it contstructed,  I think the land owner should be responsible for cleaning his land though.

HOA - is this true?  If so,  why would you build the fence?

If part of the fence is on your land,  you have every right to remove it.

Okay, let me get this straight.  The HOA had the fence constructed in order to placate a past board member who is overly concerned about the use of ATV vehicles on land that he does not even own?  I'm sure that all of the current paying members of the HOA would not agree to the use of their dues for something of this nature.  I know that this post will probably illicit a negative and defensive response from rtha, but it needs to be addressed.  Part of serving on a board is dealing with issues that arise surrounding that entity.  The majority of these posts are not personal, they are just homeowners who are frustrated at how things are handled.  Instead of getting angry, it might be more beneficial for everyone involved to step back and try to look at the big picture instead what is right in front of you.  It is this defensive attitude that has shown up on the site that has kept my husband and myself from joining the HOA in the first place.  Just my two cents. Smile
