Denying your participation is not the route that I would like to see happen because, there have been topics where you have added value.  But, you continue to back us in a corner leaving us no other option. 

So is this the "get on board or get kicked off" attitude I see? Many people out there have many different opinions, this is what makes open discussions worthwhile. If all that is wanted is a bunch of "yes men", then what's the point? Why not just add a rule stating that if you have any opinions contrary to that of the moderators, you will be kicked off. I'm sorry Melissa, I really respect some of the things you do, but the selective enforcement of only a few rules against only a few people really casts a large shadow. I would suspect that if a cop only enforced the rules on a certain few, there would be some cries of profiling. Here, .... back to the conflict of interest question raised so long ago.

Thanks Melissa for cleaning up this board and for your dedication to making our neighborhood a better place to live! Hopefully we can get more positive comments from now instead of everyone bashing each other.

It doesn't have anything to do with differing opinions.  The problem is how those opinions are voiced.  If you go back and look at all of the posts that have been made, it is very evident that some more than others come across as very aggressive.  All it seems that is being asked is that all responses steer away from being rude or offensive.  I don't understand how you think that translates into an individual being deleted if they have differing opinions.  It is possible to get a point across without it sounding rude or negative.  Many of your posts exhibit a different opinion than others and you have done it without sounding tacky, rude, negative, aggressive, etc.  In the end, why is it such a problem for people to just be nice to each other?

Just as an anology....I would think that individuals would behave just as they would in a meeting at work. In a meeting you can have differing opinions, you can play devils advocate, etc.  But, you don't sit there and get rude and ridicule your collegues.  You tactfully plead your thoughts and opinions. If you have an issue, you bring it up and work on a resolution in hopes that when you can walk away from the meeting, you have a solution. Again tactfully I would hope.  I don't know many employers that would stand two seconds of some of the comments on these boards. 

That's all that's being asked.  And if you voice your complaints and someone attempts to get some resolution for you and you do not accept.  Then why continue to voice them.  What do you really think the intent of the individual is at that point?

I tried on more than one occasion.  What more could I possibly say or do?  My responsibility as VP to the association is to foster and promote quality of life in River Trails and to assist and represent members of the association on any pertinent issues...  Member or not, I attempted to assist.  It apparently is unwelcomed. I now wash my hands of it and will focus my attention back on doing what I am suppose to do for the membership as stated above.

I will no longer respond to discussions regarding candy-o.  It is not a personal attack but, it was a personal attempt to help. I'm sorry for the outcome.  I had hoped for better.  But, this one is obviously outside my control unless Candy decides otherwise.
