I just replaced my fence as well.  The cost was split between my neighbors and myself.  The brick fence that is supposed to be put up around the outside of the neighborhood is a bonus.  It was negotiated by the committee for the gas company to pay for it as a bonus.  It is not our expense.  Why do you think it's at our expense?  It will make our neighborhood look nicer. 

It was at the expense of several.  We got a lesser amount from the drilling company for that said fence.

It would make the neighborhood look nicer if everyone kept their lawns to, should we all foot the bill for that?  And the cars, it would look better if everyone kept their broke down automobile out of sight are we going to build them garages?....and on the subject of fences...the ones at the front have been dilapidated for at least 9 years and no one has replaced them.  (and still no answer on how many past/present )!

I say this sincerely....

It's the blaten disrespect for one another that is crazy.  If we can all stop dogging one another and actually get somewhere, it would be great.  Voice your opinions in a respectful way.  I want to hear what upsets you...I want to know what you would like to see done differently.  I want to do whatever I can to assist.  But, we can't have people just dogging one another on here. It's embarassing. It has to end.

If you are looking to buy a home here and you go on the boards, you probably will change your mind. Honestly, what kind of people are going to end up our neighbors.  If you can type up a discussion board reiterating your anger with HOA or whatever and your actually wanting to see some results and not just wanting to complain about the same thig over and over, then email the HOA direct.  Push for some results direct.  Don't continue to post on the discussion boards.  It's getting nowhere.  

I know some bad info was placed out here from the HOA. That has been identified. But, we have a new board, let's move forward with them and do the best we can.  We can't change the past but, we can change the future.  Let's make some positive changes without rehashing old business that can't be fixed. But lets fix what we can.

I encourage whoever has an issue that they would like to discuss, help with, or whatever I can do.  Call me...email me.... let's do whatever we can togeather to get it resolved.  Let's actually get somewhere with it.  If I or the HOA can't help, I will let you know. 

Candy-o  - I'm working on your issue.  What the HOA said was true.  The HOA did not put the fence up nor did member dues go to the cost of erecting the fence. And, they did answer that question in an old forum months ago. Please send me your email if you don't mind. I promise I won't send you a virus. LOL   I'm waiting on more answers for you. mcadomk@yahoo.com

There are no personal vendettas.  Just alot of blaten disrespect.  Even though there may not be curse words or what have you, you all know when your being downright rude and disrespectful.  You know when your being synical or sarcastic.  It's not necessary. Let's just respect one another and work things out in a respectful manner.  There's just no need for the rudeness.  It gets absolutely nothing accomplished.

Be respectful!  That's all I'm asking.
