Maybe.......

The reason for the difference in where the signs are is to stagger them throughout the neighborhood to prevent through streets. Maybe we could get a sign that said ''STOP AHEAD''. Put it halfway between 5th. Ave. and 24th. St. Maybe that would clue them in earlier.

Being Judged

You are being judged about what you write. Authors (since the written word began) constantly use the written word to convey descriptions and feelings. The sarcasm that you have used in your posting can be taken no other way. Genuine humor (or taking light of a situation) can be displayed in other written forms. Constuctive dialoge is always good.

You are correct - we are all making what HKNA is. There are those of us who prefer to do things in a positive manner and those that choose other avenues. As far as Grady offering a hammer - did he stop to think why the contractors are choosing to renovate in this neighborhood rather than some place else? Once renovation is complete, what type of people are being drawn to living here and can afford the rising cost of homeownership? It is more than just rising property values. It is because of the attitude of the community and many of the positive proactive (rather than reactive) actions the neighborhood has taken in the past few years to make this a better place. It is the phantasmagorical (I, too, have a dictionary) visions of what this neighborhood can and is becoming. It is people deciding what the atmosphere should be for living and raising a family. The rising property values (which we all enjoy) is only one of the elements/benefits of HKNA. Beauty is only skin deep.
