Gee, makes you wonder if they were worth the money to install. Did they record
any activity prior to being destroyed?

"I hope there are plans in place to replace them." What are you kidding? I would be amazed if the SA Police will ever find the person or persons responsible. What are the odds of this really happening? I hope we do not spend the money to replace these cameras. Does it make sense to throw money on a system that does not work? I guess for some it does. By the way, was this reported to our insurance? And if so, do we have to pay a deductable to get the cameras replaced?

The cameras are like $50 a piece... I spend that on dinner and half a tank of gas!! It's not alot of money and is well worth replacing. I posted when they were first put up that this would happen. They were hung too low and should have been vandal resistant cameras. While the cameras are a excellent thing to have, the wrong kind were put in in the first place. They do work for what they are intended. I have 4 on my house and guess how many problems I have had in 5 years, ZERO. I offered my services in finding the people responsible, if there is anything to go on. It's not like it's your money paying for them, it is everyones money, and they are for the greater good. |
