Also the pedestrian gate was open the last two mornings. If anyone sees it open, please close it. The combination was published in the last newsletter.
Can we get a heavy duty gate closer installed on this so it closes itself??

Are there any stats on how often the gate has been offline since the cameras were installed? Since I can't get out much I can't speak to how often the gate goes down, so I would say the value of the cameras would depend on how much we have saved on repairing the gate because of them. Also, I don't think the cameras were ever intended to provide security to home owners. I think they were to provide security solely for the gate. |

Can we get a heavy duty gate closer installed on this so it closes itself?? The gate has a return spring. The first day the gate was wedged against the landscape edging. The second day someone placed a rock so the gate would not close. Today I adjusted the landscape edging so the gate can no longer get wedged. Three steps forward, two steps back.

It seems the gates haven't been hit since the cameras went up, which was a good thing. IF the gate did have issues, it seemed that there was not any physical damage to the gate. Folks can get upset about the cameras, yes or no but at least folks were trying to be part of the solution instead of the problem. Speak up at the meeting this month! |
