I posted the info on the San Tan Events website and I know there are people in Castlegate that read that site, so that should help out too.

Hello all, We met at the school today around 715. There were 6 adults and 1 child who showed up. We disscussed where to attack and we decidedto go across the street from the school (Rossay) and cleaned two homes up. I took us roughly 3-3.5 hours to do. The first yard was not too bad. Took us an hour to do and the neighbor next door came out and thanked us. The secon yard was horrible!! You couldn't walk in the yard with out stepping on weeds! All in all we filled about 30 bags with weed and trash!! One of the neighbors there came out and gave us Gatorade and water, sprayed the first yard down with his weed killer and thanked us for cleaning up the yards. As you can see it can make a difference if we all pitched in and helped out. Unfortunately the word didn't get out. I talked with a few of my neighbors and they showed up. Word of mouth is a big tool in this game. I think there should be a next time and better coordination. I think the HOA board should be more involved than they were. Just to get the word out. Advertise and the like. They secured the dumpsters for our use and that was helpful!!! I think we need to bring this up to the board at the next meeting on the 8th of May. To those of you who showed up today, THANK YOU!!! You showed that people do care about the neighborhood! I know there are more of us out there and we can make this community GREAT!!!! |

To everyone who is complaining about the weeds and the HOA dues... all I can say is that my family and I had planned on looking at some of the homes in your area but are now reconsidering this based on all of the complaining!! After living for almost seven years beside petty people we are tired of it!! Just be careful what you are posting because potential home buyers just might be reading it... |
