I completely agree with the cars driving way too fast and people parking on curves. Last night we had our biggest scare yet on 35th St. A black PT Cruiser came flying down the St. The ice cream man was here, it was about 8:40 at night and a bunch of kids from all ages were getting ice cream to celebrate their last day of school and the car didn't even slow down!! As if that wasn't bad enough, they FLEW around the ice cream truck, all most hit a boy on his bicycle and the flew into a driveway down the street. At that time 2 or 3 people from inside that home ran out to the car and they flew off again! It was very bothersome and I'm still upset about it!! We do yell at cars to slow down when they go by too fast, this is not to be snotty or rude, it's for the safety of our children. We did yell at this car, and it didn't even bother this man. I do not believe that he lives in the neighborhood, but not only do residents need to slow down, please ask your guests to slow down. Summer is here and let's all work together to keep out kids safe. I did put a call into the City Hall today and the lady that answered the phone, I think it was Angie, said she was taking note of this and would give it to the City Administer to see what could be done. I even suggested speed bumps and if needed I would be willing to go around and raise money for them. I hope it doesn't come to a need for annoying speed bumps, so let's all slow down and ask our guests to be respectful of our neighborhood. I love this neighborhood and would hate to see the aftermath if a child was hit. Thanks.
