If there is already an HOA put in place by trusty, why cant it be disbanded when he pulls out of this neighborhood if there is not enough support for one?

I am with the previous comment. I know that I have kept quiet through the aggressive attempts to form an HOA. Sure I have reviewed what was in the handout but before the hand out even came out there was an aggressive attempt for an HOA. When the original idea came out for an HOA there was not a lot of support. Then the additional hand outs that followed was very sensitive about the idea by rewording the idea. The underlying meaning was still HOA. You had mentioned 'If you would have noticed there has not been any communication from the attempted Neighborhood Association since our attempted meeting in March.' You are forgetting the endless amounts of paper that have been put in our mail boxes (at first), then they were taped to the door frame by the front door (This took off paint when removing the tape. I know this is probably due to cheap paint.), then it was wedged in by the door knob. If no one was showing up to the meetings then all the communication should have stopped in the beginning cause it was obvious there is no support from the majority of the subdivision.

Upon leaving your last update on my door last night I noticed that you would like our input. Upon doing that you have to brace yourself for both positive and negative feedback. Your reply expresses that we 'don't care about the neighborhood'. That is a bold assumption since you do not know know us. I personally think that with all the effort that is being taken to establish an HOA your family is lacking the attention that it should have not to mention your husband. I could have this all wrong and you probably are alone living off Obama care so you don't have a steady job. You wanted my opinion now you have it. I am NOT for an HOA.

Trusty has the HOA. So there is already one and he plans to enforce the list he sent out a few weeks ago. So there is not an argument about whether there should be one or not. We need to find out what to do to keep Trusty from telling us what we can do on our own property. Nancy has only tried to ask for an HOA that would help with safety in our neighborhood not about what we can and cannot do. I am sorry I have not been more involved  because we need to ban together or Trusty's HOA is going to cause trouble for all of us.

According to Nancy, Trusty is ready to hand it over which is probably correct since he is about done with this neighborhood. He hasn't enforced anything yet after all these years so why would he now? If she was truly worried about Trusty enforcing rules on us she would be talking about how we could disband the HOA that he started instead it seems as though she is chompin at the bit to be president which makes me wonder about her motives. This neighborhood has no pool or services to pay for so I see no reason for an association other than control. For safety issues we have 911. For nuisance problems the city has laws and code violations for such so the only thing an HOA could do for us in this neighborhood is dictate what kind of fence or mailbox we are allowed to put up. Really? Why would you want this?
