Hampton Meadows

I'm against this HOA also. I've spent the last 5 hours researching this debacle and it sounds like we are screwed! I do have a suggestion though, how about all of us who don't like this idea of an HOA band together, start going to these meetings and vote in all the people who don't want this and break it apart from the inside! also, I'm one of those homeowners who got raked over the coals with the horrible work Trusty provides and passes off as a quality product. So, we also need to get together and come up with an idea of how to hit his pocket book so after 5 years of an unfinished punch list he can Finally make things right. My suggestion is a big sign out front of my house that says " Before you build here, come talk to me inside." I've talked to many people of authority and they all say there's no slander in that statement. Trusty is not selling homes because the word is out about him, not the neighborhood. As for this HOA, My name is Lucas Reade, I live at 8724 ne 116th st. and I'd like your vote as President of what ever board is put in place. 

I read the handout from Weber and we DO NOT already have an HOA in place by trusty.  It is a list of covenants and restrictions that is enforceable by the builder.  So far he hasn't enforced much of anything that I'm aware of.  It sounds like a scare tactic by Nancy and Lucas.  Lucas, I"m not sure what you mean by voting in people that don't want this?  Are you wanting to form a board?....that would mean we would have an HOA!  Nancy may  be claiming that it will not be much money to start this HOA but once we give up our rights to a board then all they have to do is start emplementing and raising dues, probably $100-$300 a year.  Then when they start telling people what to do with thier property, they use that money to sue the people who don't abide. 

Also it doesn't matter if the board is compiled of people who are against an HOA. Who's to say the next board will be too??

Mr. Risk 1975, Like I said bofore, " Break it apart from the inside". If a board is formed and doesn't pay the fees to the association then the Hampton Meadows Hoa would be terminated. Nancy and I have done the research so we can prevent an Hoa from happening. You would know this if you had read "ALL" of the replies. Or maby, we should do it your way, do nothing, and have this HOA crammed down our throats. I wish people would know what they were talking about before they place post on this site. Stay on the sidelines bud!!
