From what I hear

the weapon used was a police style assault rifle. I'm assuming it was the deputy's own personal weapon. At least I hope it was.

Does anyone


actually know the facts to this story outside the officer just shooting everyone. Was he having a bad day, he didn't get his morning coffee, the wife burned the toast. What happened that justifies the loss of life?

Facts

20 year old off duty Deputy Sheriff. Recently broken up with one of victims. Tried to renew relationship to no avail. Absolutely no justification for the loss of life.

Off duty cops are encouraged to, and at times required to, have a weapon due to the fact that they are ''never'' off duty. It is a requirement of most departments, and under some laws, that cops are to become involved when many crimes are happening.
