Not drinking
Back up...your emotions are running away with you.
Not drinking, Dave....being an alcoholic. Re-read what you posted.
Big difference.
And as far as the original post itself...nothing in it says anyone has been fired; unlike your post subject/title. That's misleading.

The rest of the story
In so much as Dave intentionally left out some very important elements in this story; I'd thought I'd furnish the rest of it so it's not as victimizing as dave wants readers to think.
''Local 6 videotaped several Westgate employees leaving his building and smoking in a nearby strip mall.''
''Seigel said if those smokers are found out, they will be disciplined and assisted to quit smoking.''
''Seigel said when the non-smoking policy initially went into effect he gave employees a year to stop smoking and opportunities to receive counseling, patches and other smoking cessation programs.''
Looks like a fair deal to me.

No it said
Smoking...... Drinking, smoking, and gambling are the deadly sins. We all pay sin tax on these items. All are legal activities with in proper areas.
Yes, the artical stated that a person would be fired for smoking at home. Not an addicted smoker, just a smoker.
I have asked where we draw the line. Is it at drinking, sexual choices, Bike riding, where? When do we say, ''You know, this isn't right''.

Why
does it look fair to you. You're giving away your freedoms and stating it's fair.
What if this owner has a friend who is killed by a gun shot. Should he be entitled discriminate against all NRA members. No! That would be ridiculous. But yet this is in fact what he is allowed to do with smokers.
FYI - I posted the link. Anyone is welcome to read it.
