I agree; that's absurd

I agree that it's absurd to surmise that Ted Hackworth would put this much time and effort into a Pickerington Council issue, just for personal gain. Ted is much more selfless than that. Prior to his position on council, he worked harder than most everyone to get referendum petitions onto the ballot, for the good of the community. I believe Ted works to improve the entire community (Township + City and/or School District), but will not sacrifice the City folks only to benefit the Township. I'm in the Township, but certainly, an agreement for Pickerington is only good if the City benefits from it.

You agree he is the only city council member who will financially benefit from this proposal. Based on that, he should abstain from any vote on it. If he has the ethics you say he has, he will agree to abstain.

Then ALL COUNCIL should ABSTAIN from ALL LEGISLATION regarding the city.

Afterall, they (COUNCIL) are city residents that WILL be affected by ANY legislation.
